The Texas Rangers sign Jason Davis
The Rangers have signed 27-year old righty reliever Jason Davis. Davis pitched in 24 games (0 starts) last season for the Mariners and Indians and he was 2-0 with a 5.84 ERA and a 1.81 WHIP. Davis has now pitched in 130 games (52 starts) in his major league career and he is 20-22 with 1 save, a 4.78 ERA and a 1.51 WHIP. Signing Davis is a nice low risk/high reward signing as he has an electric fastball.
Being a big fan of the Rangers and knowing they need a bit of a injection of some really good pitching I have long been waiting for this move by the Texas Rangers owners. I do believe we will see the Rangers turn it on this year with this one of kind pitcher. My congrats to the management of the Rangers for making a wise choice. The ballpark in Arlington is to nice of a place to not have a few good men like Jason Davis on the pithing staff.
