The Texas Rangers trade Armando Galarraga to the Tigers

The Rangers have traded 26-year old righty Armando Galarraga to the Detroit Tigers for outfielder Michael Hernandez. The Rangers had no choice but to deal Galarraga after designating him for assignment last week. With that in mind they made a solid trade here as Hernandez flashed some hitting ability last season in the minors. Hernandez is a 24-year old, right swinging outfielder. He played in 134 games between A+AA ball last season and he was 127 for 491 (.259 avg, .797 OPS) with 71 runs scored, 24 homers and 106 RBIs.
