The Rangers totally destroyed the Yankees last night as it looked like they were taking extended batting practice. Bengie Molina was 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored, a homer and 3 RBIs as he was the key for the Rangers leading to the blowout. Josh Hamilton was 2 for 5 with 2 solo homers last night as he continues to bash the Yankees’ pitching staff. Vladimir Guerrero looked like a machine last night as he was 4 for 5 with a double and 1 run scored. Nelson Cruz also continued his hot hitting as he was 1 for 4 with 2 runs scored, 1 homer and 2 RBIs. Tommy Hunter had a rough go against the Yankees last night as he pitched the first 3 1/3 innings last night allowing 5 hits and 3 earned runs while walking no one and whiffing 5 batters. Derek Holland followed him in the game and he was outstanding. Holland worked 3 2/3 innings of 1-hit, scoreless ball as he walked 2 batters and whiffed 3 to earn the win. Darren Oliver worked the last 1 2/3 innings allowing 1 hit, no runs and earning the save. The Rangers are going to go for the kill shot in this series later today as they are up 3 games to 1 on the Yankees.
