The Rangers have given manager Ron Washington a 2-year contract extension which was a reward for the fine season the team had. Washington led the Rangers to a 90-72 (55.6%) record which was good enough to win the A.L. West. He then led the Rangers to their first ever World Series appearance. The Rangers were 8-8 in the post season. Washington has been the Rangers’ manager for four years now and he has compiled a 331-317 (51.1%) record during the regular season. He deserved the contract extension as he is improving as a manager.
