The Texas Rangers sign Justin Miller
The Rangers have signed 33-year old righty reliever Justin Miller to a minor league deal. Miller has pitched in 6 games (0 starts) in AAA-ball earlier this year for the Mariners and he was 0-0 with a 1.04 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP. He last pitched in the majors back in 2010 with the Dodgers. Miller has pitched in 216 games (33 starts) in his first 7 years in the majors and he is 24-14 with a 4.82 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP. If Miller gets off to a good start in the minors for the Rangers, they won’t likely waste much time before calling him up.
