The Texas Rangers lose Aaron Heilman
The Rangers have lost 33-year old righty reliever Aaron Heilman, as he has elected to become a free agent. Heilman pitched in 34 games (0 starts) in AAA-ball last year for the Rangers and he was 2-1 with 8 saves, a 4.02 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP. He last pitched in the majors back in 2011 for the Diamondbacks. Heilman has pitched in 477 games (25 starts) in his first 9 years in the majors and he is 35-46 with 16 saves, a 4.40 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP. This isn’t much of a loss for the Rangers.
