The Texas Rangers sign Jim Adduci

The Rangers have signed 27-year old lefty swinging outfielder Jim Adduci to a minor league deal. He played in 126 games in AA+AAA-ball for the Cubs last year and he was 119 of 399 (.298 avg, .789 OPS) with 67 runs scored, 7 homers, 44 RBIs and 18 stolen bases. He has now played in 762 games in his first 9 years in the minors and he is 738 of 2,618 (.282 avg, .720 OPS) with 399 runs scored, 24 homers, 284 RBIs and 153 stolen bases. Adduci will get a shot to win a bench job for the Rangers next spring.
