The Rangers have decided not to tender a 2013 contract to 26-year old righty swinging 1B/OF Brandon Snyder, making him a free agent. Snyder played in 40 games for the Rangers last year and he was 18 for 65 (.277 avg, .755 OPS) with 11 runs scored, 3 homers and 9 RBIs. He has now played in 56 games in his first three years in the majors and he is 27 of 98 (.276 avg, .742 OPS) with 14 runs scored, 3 homers and 13 RBIs. The Rangers shouldn’t miss Snyder too much in 2013, but he did play well when called upon.

UPDATE: (12/13/2012) - The Rangers have re-signed Brandon Snyder to a minor league deal.
