He played in 40 games for the Rangers last year and he was 18 of 65 (.277 avg, .755 OPS) with 11 runs scored, 3 homers and 9 RBIs. He played in 11 games (8 starts) for the Rangers at 1B last year and he didn’t make any errors. Snyder has now played in 56 games in his first three years in the majors and he is 27 of 98 (.276 avg, .742 OPS) with 14 runs scored, 3 homers and 13 RBIs. 26-year old lefty swinging Brandon Allen will be a longshot to make the team in 2013. He played in 10 games for the A’s and Rays last year and he was 2 for 20 (.100 avg, .432 OPS) with 3 runs scored, 1 homer and 3 RBIs. He played in 3 games (2 starts) at 1B last year and he didn’t make any errors. Allen has now played in 116 games in his first four years in the majors and he is 70 for 344 (.203 avg, .665 OPS) with 44 runs scored, 12 homers, 41 RBIs and 3 stolen bases. Ian Kinsler and Mike Olt could also see P.T. at 1B in 2013. 31-year old righty swinging Jeff Baker could also see time at 1B for the Rangers in 2013.
